Catching Up + Media Opps

Lots to discuss!

Hello, hello! I hope you’re all doing so well. It’s been a minute, and life looks quite a bit different since the last time I caught up with you here. I’m now a mom to a one-month-old baby boy named Bennett, and my world has changed—immensely and for the better.

Keeping on with updates on the personal front: my husband was recently matched to a residency program in Minnesota, so we’re over the moon not to have to relocate again. And on that note, we’re also in the process of closing on our first non-rental home. All of this to say—we’re feeling so, so lucky.

Perhaps less luckily (though I’m still grateful to be home), I don’t have maternity leave as a freelancer. But thankfully, I love this job and my clients—which brings me to my next order of business: catching you all up on who I’m working with right now, and on what.

Current Clients:

Here’s who I’m working with most consistently right now! I occasionally contribute to other outlets on a less regular basis, but these are my mains.

• PS: After a few weeks in legal limbo, my contract is officially back in action! I’m continuing with the commerce team on a part-time basis, focusing on shopping galleries, product reviews across all categories, and interviews (with team approval, of course).

• Marie Claire: I contribute two to three beauty stories per month, regularly interviewing dermatologists and requesting products for testing and photography to support coverage.

• RealSelf: I’m the voice behind RealSelf’s newsletter (which I’d love for you to subscribe to!). I also frequently interview dermatologists and plastic surgeons for editorialized sends and curate commerce roundups.

• Star Magazine: I was recently asked to take on the mag’s style and beauty pages, along with Hot Sheet and Best of the Week—on a weekly basis! I’ll be posting each week’s pages here, starting with Issue 22, below!

• I’m working on a piece about the best salty perfumes and would love product suggestions. I’m also looking for an unaffiliated fragrance expert to break down what makes a perfume “salty,” and more.

• I’m looking for unaffiliated, board-certified dermatologists for two stories: one is a niacinamide explainer, and the other is a commerce roundup of the best cleansing balms.

• For upcoming print spreads, I’m working on one focused on pickleball style and another on innovative self-tanners. Feel free to drop suggestions in my inbox!
